Crowns

Crowns

Dr. Michael Corsello provides a wide range of cosmetic and corrective dentistry procedures, including dental crowns. Crowns are available in different types of materials and act as a cap to be bonded over the tooth. The crown’s purpose is to protect and restore the tooth, whether to improve its appearance or keep it from breaking following a root canal or other procedure. Pittsburgh, PA patients often visit our dental office to get crowns and strengthen their teeth.

Here at our McKnight Rd. dental practice, our patients get crowns for multiple reasons. They may need to restore a tooth that is worn down or broken, protect a tooth that is weakened and susceptible to cracking, support a filling that is taking up much of the natural tooth, hold a bridge in place that is replacing a missing tooth, cover a dental implant, or simply for cosmetic purposes, such as covering a discolored or misshapen tooth.

Crowns aren’t just for adults either. Crowns can also be placed over “baby teeth” if they are decayed but not strong enough for a traditional filling. Patients in the Pittsburgh, PA area are invited to our practice to find out more about crowns.
